With its prime location near East Las Olas Boulevard, we at FunAir can’t help it if our minds wander to all the scrumptious restaurants and eateries in the area. Whether you are superyacht crew, exhibitors, or attendees of this year’s FLIBS, or have free time in the city, then be sure to fuel up for the day at one of these amazing breakfast joints in Ft Lauderdale.

O-B House

Blueberry Breakfast Pancakes

O-B House takes pride in offering thoughtful food that’s cooked from scratch using the very best fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients. They are open from 9 am till 2.30 pm every day except Mondays. Their location at 333 Himmarshee Street is just a short cab ride from the FLIBS. O-B offer some super tasty breakfast staples plus a few creative twists guaranteed to kick start your day, whether it’s a busy event day or a relaxing day off.

The menu includes a range of delicious local flavours, including blueberry pancakes, Fresh Florida Shrimp & Gruyere, and Fresh Florida Corn. Try some fresh Mahi in an omelette or with scrambled eggs. There are also full cooked breakfast plates, poached eggs, breakfast hashes, omelettes, biscuit sandwiches, and granola.

Moonlite Diner

Open early (8 am) till late (9:10 pm), this fifties style diner is the perfect Instagrammable breakfast spot. They serve wholesome, old fashioned American fayre, giving huge portions for affordable prices. Their all-day breakfast menu includes hash and eggs, breakfast bowls, T-Bone steak and eggs, breakfast wraps, pancakes, and croissant French toast. Customers can also build their own omelette and choose from a selection of benedicts. Beverages include sodas, filter coffee, espresso-based coffees, juice, beer, and wine.

Don’t miss out on trying one of their drool-worthy milkshakes. They come in a range of flavours like brownie and chocolate, peanut butter, and banana. You can find the Moonlite Diner at 6201 North Andrews Avenue. It’s a little further from East Las Olas, but it is still just a 20-minute drive.

Grab an Uber on your way to the boat show and stop by 1924 E Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach to grab a bite at this retro style diner which has been serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and freshly baked goods 24 hours a day since 1967. Lester’s Diner breakfast menu uses farm-fresh eggs and features American cooked breakfasts, pancakes, eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, steak and eggs, bagels, skillets, quinoa bowls, salmon, waffle sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, toasts, muffins, and stuffed croissants. Pair your meal with their famous 14oz mega coffee for the ultimate morning boost.

Top Hat Deli

Ten minutes by car from East Las Olas is Top Hat Deli. You can find it at 415 NE 3rd Street, and they are open from 8 am till 3 pm seven days a week, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. This popular spot serves a range of breakfast options with everything baked and prepared fresh in-store. Popular dishes include the Nova Lox Bagel, matzo scramble with walnut cinnamon sugar, Good Morning Ramen, challah French toast, doughssants, and Gravlox Platter.

Their beverage menu includes bottomless filter coffee, cold brews, espresso-based coffees, teas, shakes, a list of wines, kombucha, and beer on tap. Plus, they offer a range of cocktails for those wanting to start the party early, including brunch favourites like mimosas, bellinis, and the Loaded Deli Mary.
